Advanced synchronous alternating-current rotating electrical machines are operating as
generators driven by all kinds of gas and steam turbines or operating as motors driving
powerful compressors.
Installed outdoor or in powerhouses, in hot deserts or in cold Nordic climates, offshore
or onshore, in hazardous area, at sea-level or at a high altitude – Alstom products
have proven their robustness in design, while comprehensively meeting all different
requirements of all these applications.
These solutions are offered and delivered as an independent component either included
in a package with its Alstom turbine, or to other turbine suppliers; or directly to EPC
contractors or architect engineers. This diversified customer base has led to a unique
expertise in elaborating the best suiting solution for any project, compliant with
international standards and with adaptation to local codes or company rules. Extended
scope of supply can be included as for example associated electrical equipment or
cooling systems or noise protection or all kind of monitoring and control equipment.
Alstom offers a comprehensive range of products from 50 MVA to 2,000 MVA, 50 and
60 Hz, and has more than 7,000 units with more than 700,000 MW in operation. With
the experience feedback from all these units the technology is continuously developed
on unique key features that provide the benefits in operation you need.
