Transparent MAKROLON hoods are with an integrated contact device and has
the advantage that it can be easily mounted on the gauge. There is no need for
wiring etc. because this is part of the device which gives greater flexibility to distributors.
Instead of a high casing with transparent window, the hood may be fastened
on to a standard casing of the pressure gauge with the help of a
bayonet or push on bezel ring.
The centre hole is provided with an adjustable lock to set the contacts.
The contact connection wires may be passed through the dial face to a cable
connection box or a plug connector or standard plain wiring coming out through
a PG cable gland on the side of the casing.
If the wires are intended to be taken out of the hood at the side through a PG
cable gland there is a special version available.
The BDT31 devices can be build on gauges with brass or stainless steel internals.
When ordering specify the type of pressure gauge and the type of contact
required. For example. BDT18 with BDT31/ M1.

Badotherm model BDT31-01 series is a contact device with a MAKROLON hood
as protection that can be fitted to a specified pressure gauge.
It is available as 100/160 mm dia. and can be used in conjunction with
BDT1/10/18/20 etc.
