The Clemco Clem-Cool Air Conditioner

Description of Operation

The Clem-Cool Air Conditioner is

placed between the respirator air supply

nnnn

line and the helmet breathing tube. A

nnnn

knurled knob on the valve lets the operator

nnnn

adjust the cooling rate of the air entering

nnnn

the respirator.

nnnn

The Clem-Cool Air Conditioner cannot

nnnn

be closed completely, so the operator

nnnn

always has at least the minimum air vol-

nnnn

ume required for breathing and for main-

nnnn

taining positive pressure inside the helmet.

The CCAC comes with a belt that

nnnn

adjusts to fit up to a 54-inch waist. The

nnnn

durable buckle can be fastened and unfas-

nnnn

tened with gloved hands.

A belt-mounted heat shield protects the

nnnn

operator from warm exhaust air (a byprod-

nnnn

uct of the production of cool air).
