nnnnGL Filter Series - Element Type A
nnnnBrief Description
nnnnParker Zander, High-performance GL-
nnnnseries filters, containing A grade filter
nnnnelements are designed for the surface-
nnnnactive adsorption of oil vapours. They
nnnnreliably remove oil odours from pre-
nnnndried compressed air or compressed
nnnnnitrogen gas where a grade XL filter is
nnnninstalled upstream.
nnnnInnovative filter housing and filter ele-
nnnnment design leads to optimum flow
nnnncharacteristics at minimum pressure
nnnndrops: This results in cost savings
nnnnthroughout the operating lifetime of the
nnnnfilter element at reliable levels of filtra-
nnnntion performance.
nnnnHigh-capacity filter element media,
nnnnimpregnated with activated carbon
nnnngranulate, guarantees high affinity at
nnnnconstantly low differential pressure. This
nnnnefficiency is additionally supported by
nnnndeep-pleating technology enabling 4.5
nnnntimes more effective filtration surface
nnnnarea when compared with conventional
nnnnfilter elements.
nnnnThe light-weight, compact construction,
nnnnensures a requirement for minimum
nnnnclearance below the filter bowl for ele-
nnnnment removal. The simple method of
nnnninstalling the filter element into the filter
nnnnbowl, in conjunction with a secure, air-
nnnntight housing closure avoids installation
nnnnerrors and prevents by-pass between
nnnnthe contaminated and clean enclosures.
nnnnThe inlet-port is clearly marked by an
nnnnaluminium feature above and below the
nnnnopening signifying the correct direction
nnnnof flow through the filter element.

1: Port size as per DIN ISO 228
nnnn(BSP-P) or ANSI B 1.20.1
nnnn(NPT-F)
nnnn2: Flow rates in m3/h related to
nnnn1 bara and 20 °C, compressed
nnnnto 7 bar. Where the minimum
nnnna
nnnnoperating pressure deviates,
nnnnthe actual flow rate must be
nnnnmultiplied with the respective
nnnncorrection factor f (see the
nnnnrespective table) to determine
nnnnthe required nominal flow rate
nnnnand the appropriately required
nnnnfilter model.
nnnnScope of supply:
nnnnReady-to-install filter, complete with filter element and manual drain HV15.Option-
nnnnally available without a drain (in this case, not ready-to-install).
