nnnnVE411 & 431 SERIES ELECTRONIC SYSTEM CONTROL VALVES
nnnnUniversal two way, or three way mixing globe valves - 25mm to 80mm (1" to 3")
nnnnVALVE ASSEMBLIES - These assemblies are complete with
nnnnactuators, linkage assembly and valve body. They are suitable for
nnnnuse in 2-way applications, angle or straight to factory order.
nnnnVALVE BODIES - Utilising anti-dezincification bronze components
nnnnand a heavy duty valve body, they are coupled with a unique
nnnnvariable ratio, all-metal cast linkage system which runs slower at
nnnnthe ends for improved modulation and better close-off force,
nnnnspeeding up in the centre range. Built to BSPT thread and DIN
nnnnflange European standard as well as NPT thread and ANS1125
nnnnflange American standard.

nnnnAPPLICATION - Primarily designed for use on closed systems, these
nnnnvalves can nonetheless be used in many other applications.
nnnnDezincification resistant, they can be used in most HVAC control
nnnnsystems as well as industrial applications. When used on mains water
nnnnor open systems, such as cooling towers or open tank installations,
nnnnmineral deposit build-up may affect operation requiring more frequent
nnnnmaintenance. (For heat transfer oils, steam, brine, seawater, etc.,
nnnnrefer to the factory with full details of the fluid specification.)
nnnnSuitable for use as either 2-way or 3-way valves, in hot or cold water
nnnnsystems, and with static pressure rating suitable to 400 psi., (ANSI
nnnn250), they adapt to low or hi rise installations.
nnnnTechnically mixing valves in their 3-way format, these valves can
nnnnnonetheless be used on either mixing or diverting applications as
nnnnapplied to the load, but correct piping should be observed on diverting
nnnnapplications, and only in closed systems. The water must always mix
nnnnwithin the body even though it can divert through or around the load.
nnnnDiverting into open systems such as tanks, sumps or cooling towers
nnnnshould be avoided with this series of valves. (Refer to the installation
nnnninstruction sheets.)
nnnnELECTRONIC VALVE ACTUATORS
nnnnActuators are available for 2-position, floating (tri-state) and
nnnn0-10 VDC modulating control. Ambient temperature is from
nnnn-32°C (-25°F) to 55°C (130°F). Ambient humidity 95%RH non-
nnnncondensing. Gear lubrication silicone-free. Power supply voltage is
nnnn24 VAC 50/60HZ on all models.
nnnnModulating actuators are supplied with a 0 - 10 VDC feedback to
nnnntransmit the position of the actuator for use in external control loops
nnnnor position indication. Optional auxiliary switches also available for
nnnnall models.
nnnnAll incorporate override lever/position indicators. The heavy duty
nnnnsteel "Geneva" linkage movement provides a robust, variable ratio
nnnnmotion which provides more force at the ends of travel for seating
nnnnthe valve extra tightly. The same variable ratio assists in the valve
nnnncharacteristics to improve modulating control.
