The requirements
The annealing installation for extrusion billets of different alloy and diameter, should be able to automatically adapt
the process to the products.
For the various parameters, like homogenization period and homogenization temperature, the furnace has to be flexible,
to do the process as required.
To get a repeatable result in heat treatment, it is necessary to hold exact the temperature tolerances and cooling down
speed. At the same time, a gap less documentation of process data is required.
The answer
Based on the product data in the plant master computer, sciprotec homogenization plant builds up the heattreatment
charge and moves them automatically by a transfer car into the furnace or if necessary into the charge storage.
The batch furnaces homogenize the billets with an accuracy of +/- 3°C.
After the annealing process the products are moved into a high convection cooling chamber within 1 minute.
Here the billets are cooled down with air.
The homogenization installation for extrusion billets is setup to process 120t per day.
