Cost sensitivity plays a major role in industrial applications. Solutions using packet switched backplanes (PICMG 2.16) are tremendously efficient for Media/VoIP gateways, routing devices, storage area networks and clustering. The CP-POCKET line provides a very cost-effective solution for 3U CompactPCI. Specially designed for customers who do need features like extended temperature range or shock & vibration issues, but still want other benefits of CompactPCI such as hot swap, small 3U form factor or industrial computer standard.
