viking hws
(hot water suit)
The Viking HWS combines durability and comfort. The HWS is
manufactured from a unique triple layer, stretch VSN material,
originally developed for a hard wearing trilaminate drysuit, but seized
upon by some forward thinking offshore divers who appreciated the
light weight, and flexibility of this material.
• Lightweight and flexible
• Non-shrink material
• Highly abrasion resistant Armatex nylon outer
• Externally stiched and taped seams
• Internal latex sealed seams for strength
• Superfabric knee protection pads
suit material
The Viking HWS is manufactured from Viking VSN material which comprises
of a 3-layer construction. A mid-ply of NR/EPDM rubber material is coated in
between an inner and outer layer of Armatex jersey nylon.
Average material weight is 1100 ± 100 g/m2.
The material is totally non compressible and also neutrally buoyant. This
material is so stable that it WILL NOT SHRINK even when subjected to
constant drying in an industrial drying machine, unlike neoprene based
suits.
seams
All seams are stitched together with an exterior elastic tape for strength.
Inside, the seams are treated with a layer of latex which seals the inside
stitching. Seams do not need to be watertight.
colour
All black.
