TAPE OVER SEWING - TOS 3000-SW
Providing your multi-wall paper bags with a siftproof sewn closure!
Process:
The bag must first go through a specially designed and separate sewing system called MOS. The bag’s top will
be trimmed and then sewn.
A blowing system triggers the action of the clipper knife, realizing a very short thread chain after the closure, at
the exit of the MOS.
Then the bag enters immediately the TOS 3000-SW where a 60mm wide paper tape is applied instantly over the
top and both sides of the sewn sides of the bag. The tape is a pre-coated paper tape with either a hot melt
adhesive coating or a PE coating depending on applications (the reactivation is realized by passage through a
two radiant heaters section). The tape is firmly pressed onto the bag by two pressure rollers.
Key advantages
Applying a tape over the top and both sides of the sewn line:
Providing a closure which is strong, durable and siftresistant.
Prevention of sifting of products or of contamination.
- Ideally to be used in combination with a MOS sewing system.
