nnnnOperating Principles
nnnnWhen you adjust the Range Screw to
nnnna specific setpoint the Range Spring
nnnnexerts a downward force against the
nnnntop of the Control Diaphragm. This
nnnndownward force opens the Supply
nnnnValve. Output pressure flows through
nnnnthe Outlet Port and the Aspirator Tube
nnnnto the Control Chamber where it cre-
nnnnates an upward force on the bottom of
nnnnthe Control Diaphragm.
nnnnWhen the setpoint is reached, the
nnnnforce of the Range Spring that acts on
nnnnthe top of the Control Diaphragm bal-
nnnnances with the force of output pres-
nnnnsure that acts on the bottom of the
nnnnControl Diaphragm and closes the
nnnnSupply Valve.
nnnnWhen the output pressure increases
nnnnabove the setpoint, the Diaphragm
nnnnAssembly moves upward to close the
nnnnSupply Valve and open the Exhaust Valve,
nnnnand output pressure exhausts through the
nnnnVent on the side of the unit until it reaches
nnnnthe setpoint.
