The Molybdate-Duo Meter provides a single meter

nnnn

capable of measuring tracer levels of Molybdate as low

nnnn

as O.IOppm, with a range of 0.0 to 20.0 ppm and a high

nnnn

range for measuring levels of 0 to 100 ppm as Mo04.

nnnn

Formulations containing Sodium Molybdate are used

nnnn

as corrosion inhibitors in industrial water treatment. In

nnnn

particular, Molybdate finds application in cooling towers

nnnn

and in closed recirculating systems such as hot water

nnnn

heating and chilled water systems. Molybdates have

nnnn

replaced toxic corrosion inhibitors such as Chromates.

nnnn

When using Molybdate treatment, it is necessary to

nnnn

control the Molybdate concentration within specified levels

nnnn

depending on the application involved.

nnnn

Molybdates are used extensively for corrosion inhibition

nnnn

and also as a tracer reagent in many boiler and cooling

nnnn

water products. Low levels of Molybdate are mixed in with

nnnn

the products for the determination of product levels in a

nnnn

system i.e. a 1.5 to 2.0 ppm level may indicate 100 ppm of

nnnn

product.

nnnn

The Molybdate-Duo is suitable for bench use in

nnnn

laboratories or for field use by sampling engineers or

nnnn

contractors. The Molybdate-Duo Meter is supplied in a soft

nnnn

carry pouch with a belt loop for maximum portability, or

nnnn

with an optional hard carry case for added convenience.

nnnn

The kit comes complete with test tubes, reagents and full

nnnn

operating instructions.

nnnn

The Palintest Molybdate-Duo is supplied with a test

nnnn

certificate confirming conformance to calibration

nnnn

standards. Certified check standards are available as an

nnnn

optional extra.
