16G Fibre Channel
In response to the ever-increasing demands for greater storage
capacity, more virtual machines and cloud deployments, the
agship model AegisSAN LX F630Q adopts QLogic’s latest 16G
Fibre Channel silicon to double the bandwidth to the host,
achieve faster transaction rates and maximize the performance
potential for storage platforms and remain backward compatible
with existing 4Gb and 8Gb FC infrastructure.
Hard disk drive technology continues to evolve however, in the
overall data environment, there are still many other network
nodes that oset the speed increase. 16G FC doubles the
bandwidth of the array from 8G FC models to unleash the
potential of a multi-core CPU and SSD-driven applications.

fcQiSOE Hardware Ooad Engine
AegisSAN LX F630Q inbuilt with Intel Xeon processor features
hardware ooad engine, the proprietary fcQiSOE technology,
which adopts a dedicated CPU core to process the FC packets.
With hardware ooad engine enabled, the read/write
throughput can be dramatically boosted and IOPS increase
threefold.

High Availability
Featuring two 16G FC ports plus two 1GbE iSCSI ports, the
AegisSAN LX F630Q provides dual active controllers, cutting-edge
hardware congurations, fully modular components as well as
state-of-the-art built-in software feature sets to eliminate any
single point of failure.

Its hardware RAID, multiple paths designs plus the redundant
modules oer high availability for mission-critical applications.
AegisSAN LX F630Q supports both SATA and SAS drives and has 4U
24-bay, 3U 16-bay and 2U 12-Bay form factor options.

Advanced Data Protection
AegisSAN LX F630Q system supports comprehensive virtualization
technologies including VMware VAAI, Citrix and Hyper-V. It
provides QThin thin provisioning so that organizations can avoid
allocated but unused storage, and it oers built-in QSnap for
writeable snapshot and QReplica for remote replication. In
addition, the disk array provides battery backup module.
The latest QReplica 2.0 is the new generation of Qsan’s disaster
recovery technology to oer more replication ports, better
connectivity and to handle more tasks per controller and includes
a trac-scheduling shaper function to plan the amount of
bandwidth the application uses at any time.

AegisSAN LX F630Q system is equipped with 80 Plus Gold power
supplies to achieve greater than 90% energy eciency as well as
peak reduction and improved power quality.
The auto disk spin down function enables AegisSAN LX F630Q to
decrease power consumption of hard drives which accounts for
the most electricity in the storage system to reduce operating
costs.
