Strip Heaters
Types GOT, GPT, GS
APPLICATIONS
Both the Chrome Steel Sheath and the
Aluminized Steel Sheath Strip Heaters are
designed to heat platens, dies, molds, tanks,
kettles, and other surfaces as well as for process
heating. The Chrome Steel Sheath is
recommended in applications with higher required
temperatures and where corrosion may be a
problem.
STANDARD FEATURES
Slotted mounting tabs allow for expansion,
vibration resistant, terminals designed for
simplified wiring, excellent design appearance,
and ideal for evenly distributing heat over a
surface.
ACCESSORIES
Metal Terminal Cover
For Type GOT strip heaters only. The terminal
cover protects terminals from splashing,
dripping, and grounding. The removable box is
equipped with BX cable fitting, and can be
installed in the field.
Secondary Insulator Bushing
The secondary insulator increases the spacing
between heater and grounded surface for
clearance at higher voltages. Requires (-PH)
heater option.
Surface Clamp
Ceramic Post Terminal Cover
Used in conjunction with Type RHTW
insulated wire to protect against electric shock
from bare terminals. The cover is used with the
No. 10-32 threaded terminal and can be
installed in the field.
Heavy-gauge, nickel plated steel clamp used
to mount strip heater to broad surfaces such
as tank walls, platens, and dies. Threaded 3/8
in. studs must be first welded, brazed, or
threaded into work surface. Heaters should be
clamped in place on maximum six (6) inch
centers to assure good contact.
