Introducing Seiki DNC...
Seiki DNC is a robust and complete solution that
offers reliable, controlled and efficient CNC
communication across all CNC resources. It is
available in two levels of software to ensure that we can
provide a solution that is suitable for your requirements.

Seiki Systems Direct DNC system has been specifically
developed to meet the requirements of CNC users who
require access to NC Programs without the need for a
dedicated DNC terminal or PC sited next to the machine
tool.

Direct DNC Features

Direct DNC is typically our lower cost solution due to the
relatively small installation and hardware investment
required. It comprises of a single or multiple host PCs
configured with local or virtual serial ports sufficient to
support the machines installed with the host. NC Programs
are filed on the shop floor host PC platform (non-server
OS), thus providing a more efficient method of working
using fast and reliable file management that will
ultimately help reduce errors.

• Return machine tool edited programs

The system uses the CNC panel to call programs to the
machine tool, return machine tool edited programs and
transfer other files, e.g. sub-programs, tools offsets, etc.
via RS232 communications. A log book automatically
records the time and date of each transfer.

The Benefits

The Seiki Editor, which is included with the system, can be
installed on the shop floor Host PC and enables NC
Programs to be easily compiled/edited and quick line by
line comparisons made between original and modified
files.

routing of files to facilitate the download of a composite

a confirmation of a returned programme, eliminating the
need to walk to the PC to check.
• Multi port RS232 serial devices enable simultaneous
requests from each CNC machine.
• Each Direct DNC host PC will support up to 32 machines
