Selector Grabs

McQuaid Engineering Ltd's range of selector grabs are designed for the

purpose of material handling. The versatile and durable grabs can handle,

sort and segment a variety of materials in demolition and recycling

applications including C&D waste, green waste, scrap, plastic and timber.

By design the grabs have a powerful slew ring rotation system providing

360° continuous hydraulic rotation, both vertically and horizontally, thus

enabling unlimited by-directional movement for precise control. Also large

hydraulic cylinders (housed within the body for optimum protection)

power the jaws ensuring superior closing force and holding capacity.

As standard a Top Bracket is provided which allows you to attach the grab

to your carriers bucket arrangement (direct mount or quick hitch) in a matter of minutes!

The robust grabs are manufactured from high

graded wear resistant materials and durable

20-22 20-30 30-45 reversible ware blades, therefore ensuring

low maintenance costs.

To operate the grab to its full capacity it

requires the carrier to have two full double

acting (reversible) hydraulic oil circuits. One

to power the jaws (open & close) and the

second to power the rotation (left & right).

In the event that the carrier has only one

double acting circuit we can supply a 6 port

valve (guarded) which allows the operator to

have both functions at the press of a button.
