power automation.

Digital technologies have brought many benefits in the strategic field of transmission

networks and specifically substations. Digital technology at station bus level is today

widely spread and has also extended to process buses at the primary equipment level.

The Alstom MU Agile POAA Analogue Merging Unit goes one step further towards a

complete digital substation; facilitating the connection of conventional current and

voltage transformers to modern substation automation solutions through

IEC 61850-9-2LE.

With a space-saving case accommodating four current and four voltage transformers

taken from the proven MiCOM Px40 product range, the MU Agile AMU affords a low-

risk transition from conventionally connected substation automation to a fully digital

substation.
