INGEGRID™ is a combination of passive elements and power electronics

units that provide a flexible and efficient solution for voltage control,

power quality, power-flow regulation and energy storage in transmission

and distribution grid.

INGEGRID™ is a new product Ingeteam range aimed at solving the

problems associated with the generation, transmission and distribution

of energy in electricity grid. Ingeteam's experience in power electronics

equipment coupled with its experience in the field of protection and

control, convert the INGEGRID™ turnkey solutions into the best solution

for resolving problems associated with these fields.

Solutions

The INGEGRID™ product range is divided into two types of unit, each

designed for clearly different purposes:

• INGEGRID™SHUNT: Parallel units designed mainly for reactive

compensation, dynamic voltage control, storage and power management

• INGEGRID™SERIES: Serial units designed to regulate power flows,

supply continuity and service quality

INGEGRID™ incorporates the protection, control and communication

systems necessary to protect the different parts of the installation and

the line to which the units are connected.

The system is capable of incorporating a SCADA system that allows

customers to view the status of their installation and to carry out actions

on its elements in a simple and intuitive manner. The solution permits

101, 104, PROCOME and 61850 communication with substation equip-

ment or transformation centres.

INGEGRID™SHUNT is a modular solution that combines reactive compensation using Power Electronics with storage units and

capacitor banks connected in parallel. The SHUNT product range is composed of one or more of the following elements:

• STATCOM (Static Compensator): A power electronics unit that enables the dynamic compensation of supplied/absorbed

reactive power. STATCOM consists of a VSC (Voltage Source Converter) connected directly to the LV (low voltage) grid or

connected via a transformer to the MV (medium voltage) and HV (high voltage) grid

• Capacitor banks: Static reactive compensation (capacitive) units

• Storage systems: Static units that enable energy to be stored following delivery to the grid. The storage systems technologies

range from the ultra-capabilities of the batteries to the flywheels

• Protective, control and communications units

Functionality

The joint availability of power electronics units, capacitor banks and storage systems provides a flexible and modular solution:

• Dynamic voltage and power factor control

• Active filtering of harmonics

INGEGRID™SERIES is a range of power electronics units that are connected in series in the transmission and distribution

lines. The SERIES product range is composed of one or more of the following elements:

• A VSC (Voltage Source Converter): This a power electronics unit that enables the transformation direct current into

alternating voltage and which is connected directly to the LV grid or, by means of a transformer, in series with the MV

and HV lines

■ Capacitor or inductance banks: Static reactive compensation (capacitive-inductive) units

• Protective, control and communications units

Functionality

The joint availability of power electronics units, static compensation and storage systems provides a flexible and modular

solution in terms of:

• Dynamic control of power flows in transport grid: Static Synchronous Series Compensator (SSSC)

■ Improved stability of transport grid: SSSC

■ Supply continuity for end customers: Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR)

• Compliance with renewable energy grid codes: provides generators with immunity against voltage dips
