| Management: History: | Dipl. Ing. Beat Frefel (graduate engineer) HAUG celebrated its 111th anniversary in 2007. The company was founded in 1896. Serial production of the first piston compressor was started in 1925. In 1968 HAUG was granted a worldwide patent for «oil-free piston compressors*. In 1988 HAUG was the world's first manufacturer of gas compressors with a magnetic coupling drive. In 2005 HAUG applied for a patent for an «oil-free high-pressure compres-sor». By 2009 about 40,000 HAUG compressors were in use all over the world. Oil-free, dry-running piston compressors with final pressures of up to 150 bars as well as air and gas delivery rates of up to 1000 Nm3/h in the power range of 0.5 to 75 kW. A wide variety of applications, such as for example SF6 gas compression, gas recovery, process gas plants, boosting of compressed air and technical gases, the supply of respiratory air in hospitals and in the chemicals industry, compression of fuel gases such as natural gas, hydrogen, biogas and synthesis gas. HAUG products are used wherever it is necessary to prevent contamination of gaseous media and wherever a high degree of gas tightness or customised solutions are required. In addition, inside Switzerland HAUG also sells oil-lubricated and water-lubricated compressors as well as suitable accessories, such as pressure vessels, dryers and filters. The export share of HAUG is about 70 %. All oil-free compressors are produced in St. Gallen in HAUG's own factory. The company premises stretches over 7000 m2 with a building volume of approx. 20,000 m3. The buildings and production machinery are continually reconditioned and modernͭized. The level of HAUG's own production in the compressor block is 100 %. HAUG works closely with local suppliers when buying in plant components. Our core competences include individual customer consulting, the development of customised solutions, the provision of engineering services and customer-specific packaging for the compressor plant. The competence of our employees and our many years of experience with oil-free compressors in numerous applications enable us to offer the customer a tailor-made individual solution. Our own development department and the high proportion of our own production allow short lead times and a high standard of quality. Quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2000, Material Restam-ping Authorisation 3.1 in accordance with EN 10204, Qualification Test of Welders in accordance with EN 287-1 Our own service department as well as our partners all over the world guarantee a competent and fast handling of service work and repairs. | ||
