You no longer have to decide between shell-and-tube and plate heat exchangers.
GEAFlex is the answer. Because this heat exchanger combines the advantages
from both principles in a single unit and saves on two counts: in investment and
in operation.
The plate structure permits high performance density, meaning that smaller
heating surfaces are required, and effective, turbulent heat transfer is possible
even at low temperature differences and different flow rates. Pressure loss on the
tube side is low even with a high flow rate. Cleaning costs are noticeably lower
in comparison with conventional solutions.
The GEAFlex is therefore predestined for multiple applications: as condenser in
the chemical and petrochemical industries, in power station engineering, as
sugar juice preheater or as process, heating steam and overhead condensers
and in gas cooling and evaporation, etc.
