• SOLARONICS was created in 1970 by ANTARGAZ in BIBLISHEIM (Department 67) to produce RADIANT HEATING devices. At the time, sales were largely made up of portable devices that were fixed on gas cylinders distributed by the ANTARGAZ network.
• In 1976, the SOLARONICS company and the VANEECKE company merged.
VANEECKE, located in ARMENTIERES (Department 59), since the 40s, was a family company specialized in the manufacture of WARM AIR HEATING devices. The VANEECKE brand name remains associated with high quality Make-up devices which have, among other things, equipped CITROEN plants in AULNAY, FORD plants in BORDEAUX...
Following financial difficulties resulting from the oil crisis of 1974, the VANEECKE company had been taken over by the ELF company.
ELF, which had also absorbed ANTARGAZ, then merged the SOLARONICS and VANEECKE companies, and gathered the two entities in ARMENTIERES. At the initiative of the ELF company, a major Research and Development program was then undertaken. SOLARONICS VANEECKE was sold, in November 1984, to the DML group. The Consulting Firm, DML et ASSOCIES (DML and Co.), at the time worked on behalf of ELF on the recovery of SOLARONICS. Its shareholders, gathered in the DML INDUSTRIES holding bought SOLARONICS.

The company is part of the FIMARNE industrial group led by its Chairman and Founder Thierry DELFOSSE.
